I picked up 3 of these recently for my daughter to make chocolate covered Oreos for her grandfather.To use them, you start by deciding if you want a contrasting design or not. If you don't, just melt melting disk type chocolate like Wilton Dark Chocolate Candy Melts and fill the molds half way, push in an Oreo, then cover with more chocolate, chill, unmold. If you want a contrasting color, you paint it in first using colored candy melts, let it harden, then fill halfway with your base color melts, push in an Oreo and top with more candy.The designs are large enough to be painted in easily, and they unmold well. Chocolate covered Oreos make a nice gift, and these are easy enough that kids can help. The Wilton melts aren't as good as regular chocolate, but they also don't need tempering and aren't temperamental to work with, they melt and set up well and can be melted in the microwave or a double boiler.The plastic is typical Wilton candy mold quality, lightweight and you shouldn't use anything really hot in it or it may warp some. I don't recommend these for hard candy.

This product is great because the design is big enough that it's not hard to do. Some molds tend to have small details that are impossible to "paint" in, but not this one. It's bery easy to use.
